The AI team is responsible for finding opportunities where AI can be used to make life easier across all the companies and markets in the group. We own the discovery, development, and implementations of projects end-to-end and take great pride in delivering tangible business results in pragmatic ways. Some examples of what we delivered are: OdevoGPT to help 1000s of people with everyday tasks, Invoice Extractor to parse 1 million+ invoices each year, and Customer Migrator to cut multi-hour process of onboarding new customers by 75%+.

The Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced leader with a deep interest in AI and a drive to build high-performing teams? We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented AI Engineers in developing cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions.

This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation, shaping how our organization leverages the power of AI to revolutionize the property management industry. You will foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence while guiding your team to deliver impactful results.

You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering and work closely with the Head of AI Product leading the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership and Development:

• Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture within the AI team

• Mentor, coach, and empower teams and team members, promoting growth and leadership skills

• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback

• Participate in recruitment to attract experienced AI Engineers

Strategy and Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define the technical roadmap and strategy for AI initiatives.

• Ensure alignment between team's work and overall product vision/business objectives

• Represent the AI team in engineering meetings and strategic planning sessions

• Stay informed about emerging AI trends and contribute to high-level technical discussions

Process Optimization and Risk Management:

• Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments

• Identify and mitigate potential risks and bottlenecks in the development process

• Oversee and optimize the software development lifecycle, without adding process where process isn’t needed

Who You Are:

• You are a proven leader with a passion for AI and a track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams.

• You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• You are a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach, able to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in leading and managing software engineering teams

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Professional proficiency in Swedish and English, given our interactions with colleagues in Sweden, Finland, the UK, and the US.

• Deep interest in AI and how it’s changing our world.

• Experience with our tech environment (Cloud services/AWS/GCP, Python/FastAPI, LLMs like GPT-4o/Gemini/Claude) is a plus, but not mandatory.

Location:
We find great value in being able to work closely with our Stockholm-based team in person. At the same time, we understand the need to focus deeply without interruptions. Therefore, the team works according to a hybrid setup with 3 days at the Stockholm office, and 2 days remotely from home, combining the best of both worlds.
