About the role
We are looking for a DevSecOps Tech Lead to join an expanding Productivity team. The team works with DevOps, SRE and QA across different markets. As a DevSecOps Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in our software engineering process, ensuring that we work on the right things within the DevSecOps domain. You will work closely with DevSecOps Engineers and architects, but also with the larger software engineering organisation.
Your expertise within DevSecOps and software engineering will be crucial as Odevo increases its global footprint.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and drive work around strategies, processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies for the DevOps/Productivity team.
- Ensure the team adheres to agile principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Own and manage the team’s backlog, ensuring that tasks are clearly defined, properly prioritized, and aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
- Develop and maintain the long-term roadmap for the DevOps/Productivity team, ensuring alignment with the overall product and company strategy.
- Balance short-term needs with long-term vision, continuously refining the roadmap based on changing priorities and new insights.
- Engage with engineering teams across the organization to understand their requirements and areas where DevOps and productivity improvements can provide maximum value.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and risks to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency around the team’s work.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the DevOps and productivity domain to enhance team efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and streamline workflows.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies that could improve the organization’s DevOps capabilities.
- Proactively identify potential risks and roadblocks, working with the team to find solutions that minimize disruption and keep projects on track.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of DevOps/productivity initiatives on engineering effectiveness.
- Use data to inform decision-making and guide prioritization.
Who you are
You have hands-on experience and a solid background in DevOps and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle. You have experience working closely with engineering teams, understanding their needs, and driving initiatives that improve productivity and efficiency. With strong experience in agile methodologies, you thrive in environments where you can lead ceremonies, prioritize backlogs, and maintain long-term roadmaps. You’re adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and can effectively translate technical challenges into actionable priorities, ensuring the best value is delivered for engineering organizations.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience working in DevOps, Engineering Productivity, or a related technical role within a software development organization.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tools, and infrastructure, with a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-based environments.
- Ability to lead agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and drive agile best practices within cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing backlogs, prioritizing work, and developing long-term roadmaps that align with business goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with engineering teams to identify pain points and prioritize impactful improvements.
- A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how DevOps principles can enhance productivity and quality throughout the process.
- Experience with tracking and measuring KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of security best practices in the DevOps domain, with experience integrating security (DevSecOps) to ensure safe and compliant software delivery.

Location
While we have an office in Stockholm, it is a fully remote position if that suits you best. Our office is on the top floor in the newly built Sthlm 04, which offers stunning views over Stockholm.
