About the Role

Are you ready to lead sustainability efforts in a dynamic, forward-thinking organization? We are seeking our first Director of Sustainability to guide our journey toward a more sustainable future. This pivotal new role will focus on ensuring compliance with upcoming sustainability reporting requirements while shaping a broader sustainability strategy that aligns with our long-term business goals.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Building a reporting structure that adapts to the needs of our rapidly growing group, both through organic growth and acquisitions.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive sustainability strategy and framework that drives impact and ensures compliance.
• Collaborating with senior management and external stakeholders to integrate sustainability into the organization’s core values and operations.
• Driving and overseeing key sustainability initiatives for the group, while laying the foundation for a long-term sustainability function within the group.

Who You Are

You are an innovative and resourceful leader who can bridge the gap between technical compliance and strategic vision. You thrive on balancing detailed administrative work with big-picture thinking and are motivated to make a lasting impact within an organization. We’re looking for someone who:

• Has an expertise in sustainability reporting requirements, combined with a structured and solution-driven mindset.
• Is capable of prioritizing activities based on value creation and contribution to the group strategy.
• Is pragmatic and detail-oriented while keeping a strategic perspective.
• Has a collaborative approach, excelling in cross-functional teamwork.
• Is enthusiastic about shaping and growing a new role from the ground up.

Experience

• Proven track record in sustainability roles, either in-house or consulting.
• +5 years of experience of sustainability and compliance reporting.
• Proven expertise in sustainability reporting, such as annual corporate sustainability reporting according to GRI, NFRD or CSRD. It is advantageous to have expertise in TCFD, EU Taxonomy and SBTi.
• Confidence engaging with leadership and contributing at a strategic level.
• Background in service-oriented industries is preferred.

Location

We embrace flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. Stockholm-based candidates are preferred to enable seamless collaboration with key stakeholders, occasional travel to our other markets will be included.
