About the role
Our company is growing, and we are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our leadership team and represent all aspects of HR compliance, culture, and recruiting. Our company has 115 employees, 3 separate company brands, and is part of a large and exciting international group with colleagues and HR partners across the U.S. and Europe.
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including HR processes, payroll processing, compliance, hiring and interviewing staff, benefits, support and enforcement of company policies and practices.
Previous experience developing an HR function and establishing processes and guidelines, as well as experience with Paycom (HR payroll/Software company).
- Support our employees with HR questions and needs.
- Support senior management with HR compliance, input, projects, and culture development.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Lead the PEO partnership and help prepare for migration to internal management of payroll and benefits.
- Lead company effort on health care benefits and partnerships.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Execute all aspects of supporting payroll processing for company, processing employee changes, garnishments, wage adjustments, and maintaining regular reports.
- Prepare and execute employee engagement surveys.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Develop compliant, positive, and effective HR policies and procedures to support staff and company.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience
- A minimum of ten (10) years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Paycom (HR payroll/Software company) expertise.
- SHRM-CP required
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
