About the role
We are a leading property management firm with an expanding portfolio of residential and commercial properties. We are committed to providing exceptional service and maintenance solutions to enhance our clients’ living and working environments. We are currently seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as the Director of Service and Maintenance.
The Director of Service and Maintenance will oversee all aspects of our maintenance operations, ensuring that our properties meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction services, customer service, estimating, and scheduling, with a proven ability to manage and coordinate work crews effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the service and maintenance department, providing direction and support to staff and work crews.- Oversee estimating, scheduling, and execution of maintenance and repair projects across our property portfolio.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with property managers, clients, and tenants regarding maintenance issues and solutions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess properties and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Manage budgets and control expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business growth and optimize client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance service offerings.
Who You Are

- Strategic Thinker: You possess excellent problem-solving abilities and can develop and implement effective maintenance strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure the longevity and reliability of facilities and equipment.
- Detail-Oriented Professional: You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and compliance standards, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction services industry, preferably in a service and maintenance role.
- Strong background in customer service and client relations.
- Proven experience with estimating and scheduling for maintenance and construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee work crews effectively.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with estimating and scheduling software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
