About the Role 

As part of the IT Operations team, this role will be a part of our US-based IT Operations Shared Services team, which supports multiple companies nationwide. This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role will focus on Microsoft and Cisco technologies, and will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network, storage, server, and integration platforms. 

Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design and deploy scalable infrastructure solutions across physical and cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, DNS, Azure services, and Microsoft 365.
• Implement and manage Cisco networking solutions including access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.

Cloud Operations

• Assist in the migration and integration of workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor cloud performance, cost optimization, and security compliance.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

Systems & Network Administration

• Administer and monitor network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage storage systems, virtualization platforms, and server hardware.
• Support integrations between systems and services, including identity management and cloud connectors.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure layers.
• Ensure infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance standards.
• Manage endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability remediation.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Use tools such as M365 Admin Centers, Azure Monitor, Cisco Meraki, and third-party solutions to track system and environment health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across physical and cloud platforms.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including application, networking, security, and support teams.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and requests.
• Participate in infrastructure projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, with hands-on experience in Microsoft and Cisco environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Windows Server
• Familiarity with PowerShell and other scripting tools for automation
• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)
• Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, or related technical certifications preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using Service Desk ticketing software and remote management tools
• Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
• Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills specific to IT hardware, software, and cloud platforms
• Awareness of the importance of Security and GDPR requirements
