About the role
We are looking for a technically skilled QA Manager to join an expanding Productivity team. The team works with QA, DevOps and SRE across different markets. As a QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in our software engineering process, ensuring that our processes for delivery of software meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with QA specialists, reporting to you, and other stakeholders. The QA specialists are currently working in a number of agile development teams across Odevo’s products.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and mentor Odevo’s QA professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Manage QA team members across teams, ensuring consistency and alignment in QA practices.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions with QA professionals.
- Collaborate with product managers/leads/owners, developers, and other stakeholders to define QA objectives, priorities, and deliverables.
- Cooperate with QA architect and drive initiatives for improving test coverage, reducing defects, and enhancing product quality.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between QA teams and other departments, such as development, DevOps, and product management.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the QA teams and the broader organization.
- Allocate QA resources effectively across projects and products, balancing workloads and priorities.
- Identify and address skill gaps within the QA team, providing training and development opportunities as needed.
Who you are
You are a coaching leader with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Collaboration is a key aspect of our organization, and we are looking for someone who can thrive while working harmoniously across departments and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A good eye for details is crucial in ensuring that our products meet our quality standards. Furthermore, experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment will be highly regarded, as it demonstrates the ability to thrive in dynamic settings.
Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- You have at least five years of experience as a QA Manager or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of software engineering methodologies and CI/CD.
- Experience with coaching and developing team members.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working with E2E test automation, for example, Playwright or Cypress.
