Our Enterprise and Solution Architects proactively lead and support architecture activities across our value streams. This includes the development and management of a portfolio of related products and solutions, including projects, systems (applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services.

You will understand business goals, objectives, outcomes, capabilities, value streams, and processes, and their significance in architecture within a scaled agile software development environment.

The Enterprise Architect provides leadership, analysis, and design tasks to support the development of technology solutions that meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

You will create deliverables to manage the organisation’s portfolio of "as is” and "to be" solutions, including systems, shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to drive targeted business outcomes.

As a Nordic Enterprise Architect based in Finland, you will take ownership of defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for our growing Finnish operations. You will play a key role in shaping the evolution of our target platform while contributing to the long-term strategy for customer, financial, and asset management solutions.

You will collaborate with colleagues in the Nordic Product & Technology team as well as with those working in other markets to identify potential cross-market synergies and opportunities.

You will manage the architecture vision and the enabling capabilities required to meet them. You will report to our CTO and work in close collaboration with our Nordic product engineering teams and other architects.

Responsibilities

• Define Architectural Vision for Finnish Operations: Establish and drive the architectural vision for our Finnish entities, ensuring alignment with our Nordic strategy while addressing local business needs.
• Understand Business Drivers: Analyse business drivers and capabilities (future and current state) to determine corresponding solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes.
• Support Product Lifecycle: Collaborate with the Head of Product, product managers, and owners to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Translate Business Requirements: Convert business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint, documenting all solution architecture design and analysis work.
• Develop Strategic Technology Roadmap: Create a roadmap for the evolution of the Finnish solution portfolio from current to future state, ensuring compatibility with broader Nordic and global strategies.
• Evaluate and Select Technology: Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, and consult with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture.
• Design and Implement Solutions: Lead evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies, managing and developing the architecture for a broad scope of products.
• Monitor Technology Portfolio: Identify deficiencies in the current product portfolio through aging technologies or misalignment with business requirements, and support product managers in end-of-life product decisions.
• Stay Updated on Technology Trends: Understand emerging technology trends and disruptions and their practical applications to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
• Consult on Technology: Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a solutions architect or similar role with a strong background in software development.
• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions, including applications, technologies, and information systems.
• Strong understanding of business goals, objectives, capabilities, and value-streams.
• Proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks.
• Ability to lead and manage architecture activities across multiple value streams and agile release trains.
• Experience with creating and maintaining architectural blueprints and roadmaps.
• Knowledge of emerging technology trends and their practical application.
• Ability to analyse industry and market trends and their impact on technology solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on delivering business value.
• Experience in governance and compliance related to architecture.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with agile teams.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding and supporting architecture activities.
• Experience creating deliverables for managing an organization’s portfolio of solutions.

Location
We are remote-friendly, but we find great value in being able to connect with our teams in person. The product development team you will work with is primarily located in Helsinki and Stockholm, and the ability to spend face-to-face time with the team is important.
