Surveying Administrator
We are on a mission to become the leading international force in residential property management. What we do matters to billions of people in their everyday lives.
Residential real estate is the world’s largest asset class, and for most families, buying a home is the single biggest financial decision they will ever make. For too long, residential property management has fallen short of homeowners' and residents' expectations, and the industry is ready for change. Odevo was formed to make that change happen.
In just six years, Odevo has grown more than 70-fold, establishing us as the leading international player. We are more than 12,000 people across the US, the UK, the Nordics, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Italy building Odevo. Together, we aspire to break new ground through innovation and cultivate a workplace where we help each other succeed, where ideas matter more than titles, and where kindness is a strength.
By combining the power of people and technology, we set a new standard for how homes are managed. Our technology-enabled services simplify living for residents and create a better experience for property owners and boards.
Our ambition is to continue our fast-growing journey through new customers, service expansion, and by partnering with great companies that share our mindset and ambition, both in existing and new markets.
As we continue to grow, we stay true to who we are, challenge unnecessary bureaucracy, and keep decision-making close to our customers.
If you share our mindset and ambition, we’d love you to join us and help accelerate our mission together.
About the role
SURVEYING ADMINISTRATOR
• SRVO • £27,000–£30,000 dependent on experience • Hybrid – Sheffield / Remote
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity to join a growing property services consultancy in a role that sits at the heart of how the business operates. As Surveying Administrator, you’ll provide hands-on support to the surveying team and wider business – keeping projects on track, clients well-served and processes running efficiently.
You’ll work closely with surveyors, clients and the wider administration team – managing CRM data, coordinating inspections, producing documentation and supporting business development activity. The role combines strong organisational work with meaningful client interaction and a genuine contribution to service quality.
There is scope for the right person to grow within this role, take on increased responsibility and shape how the administration function develops as the business continues to expand.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You’ll be a dependable presence in the team – organised, proactive and focused on getting things right. The role requires someone who can manage multiple tasks at once, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and take ownership of their work without waiting to be directed.
You’ll be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy across CRM data, documentation and client correspondence – and to flag and resolve issues before they become problems. Attention to detail matters here, as does a professional and responsive approach to every client interaction.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting the ISO 9001:2015 quality system – an important part of how SRVO demonstrates its commitment to service excellence.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You’ll be performing well in this role if:
· Clients receive accurate, timely responses and feel well looked after
· The CRM is accurate, up to date and a reliable source of information for the team
· Surveyors can focus on their work because the admin around them runs smoothly
· You proactively spot issues, suggest improvements and follow through on actions
· The quality system is maintained to a high standard and audit-ready at all times
HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
Day to day, you’ll be:
· Answering calls and enquiries, producing proposals and reports, and resolving client queries
· Managing and updating the CRM system – creating opportunities, projects and invoices, and ensuring data accuracy
· Coordinating inspection schedules and diary management for the surveying team
· Tracking and following up on quotations to support forecasting and business development
· Preparing data and reports to support senior management decision-making
· Identifying process improvements and helping to implement them
· Supporting the QA director and consultant with ISO 9001:2015 quality system administration and compliance monitoring
The role is hybrid – you’ll work remotely for most of the week with a regular Monday in the Sheffield office, and occasional attendance at company events.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
This role suits someone who:
· Has solid administrative experience and takes pride in accuracy and quality
· Is confident managing a varied workload and working to tight deadlines
· Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
· Takes initiative and looks for ways to make things work better
· Is comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
· Previous experience working with a CRM or sales management system
· Background in property management, building surveying or a similar professional services environment
· Experience assisting with business development or managing client relationships
· Ability to work with data and produce useful analysis and reporting
· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality system administration or a relevant qualification
