UX Designer
We are on a mission to become the leading international force in residential property management. What we do matters to billions of people in their everyday lives.
Residential real estate is the world’s largest asset class, and for most families, buying a home is the single biggest financial decision they will ever make. For too long, residential property management has fallen short of homeowners' and residents' expectations, and the industry is ready for change. Odevo was formed to make that change happen.
In just six years, Odevo has grown more than 70-fold, establishing us as the leading international player. We are more than 12,000 people across the US, the UK, the Nordics, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Italy building Odevo. Together, we aspire to break new ground through innovation and cultivate a workplace where we help each other succeed, where ideas matter more than titles, and where kindness is a strength.
By combining the power of people and technology, we set a new standard for how homes are managed. Our technology-enabled services simplify living for residents and create a better experience for property owners and boards.
Our ambition is to continue our fast-growing journey through new customers, service expansion, and by partnering with great companies that share our mindset and ambition, both in existing and new markets.
As we continue to grow, we stay true to who we are, challenge unnecessary bureaucracy, and keep decision-making close to our customers.
If you share our mindset and ambition, we’d love you to join us and help accelerate our mission together.
About the role
We’re looking for a UX Designer with strong AI experience to help shape not only the products we design, but also how design is practiced, specified, scaled, and implemented across our global product organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to join an industry still in an early stage of digital maturity, where you can have a significant impact. We see customer experience as a critical differentiator and an important part of our ambition to transform the global property management industry.
You’ll join a global design team led by the Head of CX & UX in Stockholm, Sweden. This role combines hands-on UX and interaction design in our AI team with helping the wider design team scale quality, consistency, design systems, and AI-assisted product development workflows globally. You will collaborate with the global design team and support knowledge sharing across all our markets, including the UK, Europe, the US, and Mexico. As part of this role, you will shape both intuitive customer-facing experiences and complex internal workflows for property management employees.
You will help mature how our design team works across markets, products, and disciplines. This includes improving design system structure, documentation, governance, and adoption; defining practical quality standards; and establishing clearer ways of working across Figma, design specifications, no-code tools, and AI-assisted development workflows.
AI will be central to how we evolve our design practice going forward, balancing the efficiency of AI agents with the judgement, taste, and craft of experienced designers. Experience in both DesignOps and AI-assisted design and development will therefore be a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities
Work and lead the “ordinary” design process within product teams - translating user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear flows, prototypes, interaction design to test and learn iteratively.
Define design practices for agent driven development workflows, and how design artefacts should be specified so they can be used effectively by designers, product managers, engineers, and agents. Eg specification formats, reusable prompts, design skills, MCPs, and validation methods.
Define how design artefacts — such as user flows, service blueprints, prototypes, component specifications, interaction rules, and acceptance criteria — can better steer and validate AI-assisted implementation.
Support more efficient research and validation practices, like how we evaluate product iterations and AI-generated outputs against user needs, design system standards, accessibility expectations, and product quality criteria. This includes, for example, defining/creating tools for research planning, recruitment processes, GDPR considerations, research templates, and maintaining a research repository.
Lead the work with the Odevo design system(s) by improving component documentation, governance, accessibility standards, usage guidance, and alignment between design components/patterns and code.
Who you are
You are genuinely interested in understanding people’s needs, behaviours, and motivations, and you use that insight to shape services that deliver real value. You combine strong design craft with systems thinking and can move comfortably between user needs, business outcomes, service journeys, and detailed interaction design.
You strive for quality, value collaboration over prestige, and enjoy contributing to a strong team culture. You are a strong communicator who can turn research insights and design rationale into shared understanding across teams and stakeholders.
You enjoy making design work more legible, scalable, and repeatable. You care about the craft of design, but also about the systems, rituals, documentation, and standards that help teams deliver good design consistently. You are comfortable moving between hands-on product design and improving the underlying ways of working that support the wider design organisation.
You are pragmatic about AI: curious and experimental, but also thoughtful about quality, trust, transparency, human oversight, and when AI should or should not be used.
Experience
5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, working on complex digital products.
Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, behavioural science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong proficiency in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, UX research, service design, and design systems.
Experience designing web and mobile products for complex, data-rich, workflow-heavy, or operational environments.
Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
Experience contributing to DesignOps and design systems, including documentation, governance, quality standards, tooling, ResearchOps, and alignment between design and code.
Experience with AI-driven design or development workflows, including how structured specifications, component rules, interaction logic, and acceptance criteria can guide AI-assisted implementation.
Experience designing AI-enabled product experiences, such as intelligent search, automation, recommendations, copilots, or decision-support tools.
Property management or proptech experience is a plus.
